this has some real potential. there's a few minor polishing issues (UI bug where in battles, the hover over text doesn't always disappear, "8am in the morning" 8 am is morning, that's like saying rip in peace (rest in peace in peace)). having to manually loot each item after a battle is annoying, and having to click on the star icon instead of the actual item icon to use items is also rather annoying. the visuals are clean, but I prefer the original's visuals over this remaster. the original had more character.
Thanks for the review, I appreciate the critiques!
- I wasn’t able to reproduce the hover bug in battles, but I can implement a fail-safe.
- You’re right about the AM/PM text, it is redundant (I’ll fix that).
- The "use" button for items is mainly for touch controls, but since it’s indeed unnecessary for mouse controls, I can make clicking the item act as "use" as well (I’ll update this).
- For the loot, maybe adding a 'Loot All' button? I’ll think about that.
The opening cutscene was cool, I wish the rest of the game kept that style. for the first level, the enemies are total bullet sponges, i'd recommend revisiting the balancing there. other than that I think a stationary but non-rail shooter is an interesting idea
I like the art and concept behind the game! fullscreen is definitely a must. i was struggling until I zoomed in on the webpage and it helped significantly. i got to the upgrade but it wasn't working for me, hitting shift and/or right click had no noticeable effect
I would die for it
the bottom left helm is so sick
gorgeous. i wish i was there
